UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE Official Sponsors
Uefa Youth League is sponsored by seven different companies of the most prestigious in the world.
At first sight they may seem exactly the same sponsors that the Uefa Champions League but we can see some differences.
These sponsors are:
- Seven different sponsors, one less than UCL that has eight
- Heineken and Gazprom are sponsors of UCL but not of UYL
- Adidas is a sponsor at the same level than the other brands in contrast with what happens in UCL
So do you think that UYL rights for sponsorships should be sold independly from UCL or do you think that could be included and then raise the price of being the sponsors?

I guess the Youth League belongs to the Champions League and so the Sponsors are shown there, too.
ResponderEliminarHonestly I don't know. May be It could be a great opportunities to include the both competition for the sponsors because it could afford to make known this competition UYL to much people but I think that they win even more money if the both are separate at the end. In addition, the organization is not the same so it could become a bit more complicated at the administrative level.
ResponderEliminarI really do not see the issue with having the same sponsors as Champions League. As long as the sponsors agrees to a deal there should not be any issues. But maybe Morgane has a point that having different sponsorship deals will generate more money because maybe the major brands such as Addidas will not pay as much to the UYL as they do to the Champions. Hence, the UYL might miss deals with sponsors what are willing to pay more than the famous brands.
ResponderEliminarUCL and UYL are two different organizations, I think the sponsors can decide if they want to sponsor one or the other, or both. Maybe they think they fit better with UCL or the other way around, which is better for the sponsor. I also agree with what Morgane said that different sponsorships can generate more money.
ResponderEliminarI think it is a good idea to keep the sponsors separate. Some sponsors that sponsor the UCL might not be appropriate to sponsor the UYL, like beer or alcohol companies. They can also make a larger profits by selling sponsorships separately since the sponsors are not getting a "package deal".
